The length of the course is one day.
Training is from 9:00am to 5:30pm.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Prerequisites

The course assumes you have no prior experience of working with any CFD package, although a background in engineering/physics is assumed.

Overview

GAMBIT® preprocessor provides a concise and powerful set of solid modelling-based geometry tools. Top-down geometry construction using 3D primitives allows you to create geometries fast.

Course objectives

The aim of this two-day course is to provide enough training for the user to directly start building and meshing his own models using GAMBIT®.

• Systematically go through the GUI and point out all important features and capabilities;
• Create 2D and 3D geometry through all available sources and also discuss different strategies within geometry creation and decomposition;
• Mesh a variety of problems and discuss the relevant use of different meshing algorithms for different geometries.
