An ANSYS version which is built using an operating system level as identified in the Version Information and System Requirements page is supported for all hardware configurations running this level of the operating system. The ANSYS version may not have been tested (certified) for a particular hardware configuration since it is not possible to test all combinations that are available from the hardware vendors.
We will certify certain hardware/operating system combinations as we obtain access to them. To the extent that upward compatibility is maintained by the operating system vendor, we also support operating system levels above those at which the software was built although certain operating system levels may not have been tested at the time of release.
On occasion, an operating system patch is required when using an operating system level above that specified here. Please check with the operating system vendor for patches. We will certify operating system levels above those at which the software is built as these operating systems are made available to us. Operating system levels below those used to build the software are not supported.
