

ANSYS Academic customers can now benefit from High Perfomance Computing (HPC). For structural, thermal & electromagnetics physics, users can take advantage of 2 processors/cores without the need to add-on an Academic HPC product. However, when you need more than two processors/cores ANSYS Academic HPC licenses are available on a per processor (per core or per thread) basis for four different "physics" for use with Academic Research products as follows:
- For structural, thermal & electromagnetics, one Academic Mechanical HPC license is required per processor above 2 processors
- For CFX CFD , one Academic CFD HPC license is required per processor/core.
- For AUTODYN explict dynamics, one Academic AUTODYN HPC license is required per processor/core.
- For ANSYS LS-DYNA explicit dynamics, one Academic LS-DYNA HPC license is required per processor/core.
Academic Associate customers can make use of the ANSYS commercial HPC products.
