ANSYS Icepak is a powerful thermal analysis CFD tool that allows engineers to model complex electronic systems, and perform heat transfer and fluid flow simulations on component-level, board-level or system-level applications.
Many companies have their own preferred workflow for an analysis project. As today’s engineering software become increasingly easy to use, great efficiency can be gained if the repetitive tasks can be automated and all the tools can come together in a centralized interface.
ANSYS Icepak offers several levels of productivity gains through customization and automation. ANSYS Icepak can be used to customize, streamline and automate tasks using Icepak Macros. The Macros help the user build complicated geometry faster, tap into advanced solver capabilities, enhance the insights with advanced post-processing and make significant gains in productivity by automating repetitive, manual tasks.
ANSYS Icepak is also extendable and customizable using the ANSYS Customization Toolkit (ACT). This capability allows for the customization and automation of workflows involving applications, such as ANSYS Icepak, ANSYS Mechanical, ANSYS SpaceClaim and ANSYS DesignModeler, that are integrated into the ANSYS Workbench environment.
In this seminar, ANSYS engineers will demonstrate the use of ANSYS Icepak Macros to completely automate meshing in Icepak. Using a smartphone model, ANSYS engineers will also demonstrate the use of ACT towards the customization and automation of the thermal simulation of the smartphone. The automated workflow includes CAD cleanup, geometry and model setup, solving and post-processing.
