- A technical education and/or background in high frequency electromagnetics is recommended but having an engineering degree is not required.
- It is also stongly recommended, but not required, that you are familiar with the Getting Started Guides provided with the software.
- Some experience with ANSYS HFSS is recommended.
This one-day course uses examples and real design exercises to provide a comprehensive understanding of ANSYS HFSS with the specific emphasis on Signal Integrity. The course is intended for beginner users and assumes some prior knowledge of HFSS.
This class covers using the HFSS Desktop features, creating and manipulating parametric 3D models, and working with different data types. Users will be exposed to real design data editing and translation, and creating a ready to solve HFSS 3D model. The course also covers boundary conditions and excitations, with an overview focusing on the practical aspects of passive device modeling and how to improve performance and productivity. Students will also create a fully parameterized 3D HFSS model for "what if" type of analyses.
