ANSYS HFSS for Antenna Design
This two day advanced course goes beyond the introductory HFSS material to provide a comprehensive understanding of how HFSS is used to design antennas. It relies on interactive, self-paced workshops that allow students to explore the capabilities of HFSS and develop an understanding of how and when to take advantage of those capabilities. The interactive workshops include hands-on exercises that teach students how to properly setup models analyze the results of those models and optimize an antenna's performance. Students will learn to incorporate circuit analysis into their antenna simulations so they can apply circuit based tuning techniques to make their analyses more efficient. They will also learn how to take advantage of hybrid solution techniques to solve large, complicated analyses such as antenna platform integration, co-site analysis or large reflector dishes to improve simulation time and efficiency. Finally, the course explores the analysis of phased array antenna's from both an infinite and finite array perspective. Students who take this advanced course should expect to have the practical knowledge needed to develop antenna designs using HFSS.
