Ask the Expert – Performing Customized Post-Processing using Design Assessment in ANSYS Mechanical
Being able to conduct advanced post-processing of finite element analysis results, including the assessment of designs by applying standard regulatory procedures, is a critical requirement for many users/industries and thus simulation software should enable this seamlessly within the simulation workflow. Design Assessment by ANSYS enables a user defined process to be employed which can access both the simulation results and additional attributes associated with the model. Once the process has completed, results can be extracted and presented within the ANSYS Workbench environment. This can be applicable to cases of advanced post-processing but will often be an essential part of conducting regulatory compliance checks. Design Assessment is a new feature of our ANSYS structural mechanics products (available with all products from ANSYS Professional NLS and above). The webinar will thus be of interest to users from all industries, including all those with advanced post-processing needs, including those in particular where regulatory requirements need to be met, such as civil, nuclear, offshore, etc. This webinar will explain how Design Assessment can be used in advanced post-processing and how this procedure allows standard Codes of Practice to be made available with ANSYS 13.0. This will comprise an introductory short presentation and live demonstration followed by a Question and Answer session with a panel of experts from the ANSYS technical support and development groups.
