Ask the Expert – Configuring the ANSYS Remote Solve Manager for ANSYS Workbench Job Submission on Microsoft HPC 2008

"The Remote Solve Manager (RSM) in ANSYS 13.0 is a job queuing system that can be used to submit ANSYS Workbench solutions in a variety of ways. After setting up your model, you can use RSM to submit jobs for solution on your desktop or on a compute node elsewhere on your network. RSM takes care of data file handling and allows you to retrieve results as they are completed, or to collect them later when you are ready to post-process the results. In this webinar we will focus on the configuration steps required to prepare RSM to submit jobs to a Microsoft HPC 2008 cluster. This configuration involves: 1. Installing ANSYS Workbench on the client computer 2. Installing ANSYS Workbench on the Microsoft HPC 2008 cluster 3. Installing the RSM services on the head node of the cluster 4. Adding compute servers to the RSM services 5. Defining queues to be used by the client computer We will also present an example of the steps you will take to submit an ANSYS Mechanical job to RSM once the configuration is completed. After the presentation, a panel of ANSYS RSM experts will be available to answer your questions. The panel will field questions live via WebEx. This Webinar is intended for Systems Administrators who may be performing the configuration, as well as engineers who will use RSM to submit ANSYS Workbench solutions. Join us for this free one-hour webinar and see how you can RSM to streamline ANSYS Workbench job submission.
