Ask the Expert – Accessing FE Mesh Using Named Selections in ANSYS Mechanical 14.0
In Mechanical 14.0, you are no longer limited to scoping boundary conditions and results to geometric entities. It is possible to directly select the nodes of the FE mesh and store them as Named Selections. These nodal Named Selections can then be used to apply loads and review results.
