AnsoftLinks for MCAD

Design Automation for MCAD Import

AnsoftLinks for MCAD facilitates the transfer of 3-D geometry from mechanical CAD (MCAD) packages into ANSYS HFSS, ANSYS Q3D Extractor and ANSYS Maxwell, where electromagnetic field simulation can be performed. AnsoftLinks supports products using common file formats, such as IGES, STEP, ACIS and Parasolid. The software can import solid models from ANSYS Mechanical, Pro/ENGINEER, AutoCAD, CATIA, and Siemens PLM NX.

Devices such as antennas, connectors, motors, generators and bus bars can be automatically converted into ready-to-simulate ANSYS models for electromagnetic analysis. This allows engineers to use existing design geometries in their analyses. By reducing the time required to recreate a CAD model in the analysis tool, you can save a tremendous amount of time, contributing to meeting aggressive development costs and delivery schedules.
