ANSYS Student Portal

The ANSYS Student Portal provides academic students access to a limited version of the ANSYS Customer Portal, boosted with student specific content.

ANSYS Student Portal users have access to tutorials, training notes, technotes, FAQs, knowledge resources, documentation, academic/student specific content and technical support.

Professor & Students User Categories:

There are two categories of user associated with ANSYS Student Portal: “Professors” and “Students”. The students are the intended users of the new portal, however each customer site requiring student participation must identify one or more “Professors” who will be associated with the student users. “Professors” will have access to the standard ANSYS Customer Portal.

Professor Registration:

Professors should register on the standard ANSYS Customer Portal, as they are simply standard portal users! Professors need to provide their account number, account name, & address information. Once validated, the Professor will be able to login to the standard ANSYS Customer Portal. Once logged in, they should go to "My Account" where they can set themselves up as a "Professor" on the account.

Student Registration:

There is a student specific registration page & process: During registration, students are required to identify their professor (from a drop down selection) associated with their academic product license.

   

Each academic account ANSYS Customer Portal user has the option to check “Professor” in their “My Account” settings of the ANSYS Customer Portal. Students will only be able to register if there is at least one “Professor” associated with the account in our database. A students registration will be active for one year.
