These properties depend on the temperature and can be accurately measure with NETZSCH thermoanalytical instruments.
The chemical properties of the system are necessary for FEM simulation of curing for paints and adhesives or other chemical reactions, such as number of elementary chemical steps, reaction order of each step and activation energies of each step. The kinetic model with the correspondent kinetic parameters can be found with NETZSCH Thermokinetics software from the thermoanalytical measurements.
FEM simulation for chemical reactions can be done in ANSYS using module VPS/DRY by CADFEM GmbH, Germany. This module uses the algorithm from NETZSCH-Thermokinetics software for calculation of the degree of curing and concentrations of reagents.
