Cadence is the world's largest provider of electronic design automation (EDA) products, as well as the world's largest provider of both EDA services and electronic design services. The Allegro-Icepak interface facilitates ease of use and ease of transfer of relevant information to a thermal design tool (ANSYS Icepak) that can best make use of the information. Thermally critical details can be captured accurately, resulting in more accurate performance and reliability predictions. Furthermore, rebuilding the geometry inside the thermal tool becomes unnecessary. Errors that could be introduced during the process of recreating the models are therefore minimized.
